Springs of Love Chapter at Nativity

Springs of Love Chapter at Nativity

Supporting Foster Care and Adoptive Families

Springs of Love is a National Catholic organization that promotes and supports Foster Care and Adoptive Families.  The need for Foster Care and Adoptive Families is huge and the success of those families is much improved when they have a community to support them.  The Springs of Love Chapter here at Nativity of Our Lord is hoping to become a blanket of love and support around existing Foster and Adoptive families here in our Nativity of Our Lord community.  If you are interested in praying for families, providing for material needs (i.e. clothes, diapers, furniture), a warm meal, or respite care for a couple to have a date night, this is the group for you.

Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministers

Bringing Christ’s healing love to people who are hurting

Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, separation, unemployment, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or spiritual crisis.  Stephen Minister training is a Christ-centered experience that equips participants with essential caring and relating skills. Trainees learn how to listen to, care for, and walk with those going through difficult times in life.  Stephen Ministers are trained by their congregation’s Stephen Leaders using resources from Stephen Ministries-St. Louis. The training we provide, which takes place at Nativity, not only teaches trainees to provide high-quality care for people who are hurting, but equips you with relational skills you can apply to all aspects of your life, and deepens your faith as the Holy Spirit fashions you into a Christ-centered caregiver.

Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life, but they all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need.   If you have gifts for caring, encouraging, and listening, and have a desire to use these gift to serve others while experiencing profound spiritual growth, call or email about becoming a part of this exciting ministry.

We need more Stephen Ministers!
