NATIVITY ALTAR SERVERS

Boys and girls are eligible to serve at Mass from the time they have received their First Communion until the end of ninth grade.

To become an altar server, students must attend mandatory training sessions, including a final assessment. These training sessions are held in the fall and spring of each year.

After attending the first session, servers are encouraged to serve as often as they can by arriving at the sacristy 15 minutes before weekday Masses.

Those who have completed all training sessions are promoted to a “full server” and can serve in many roles at benedictions, funerals, weddings, and other important liturgical celebrations.
