Part Time—Parish Front Office Assistant (daytime)

This role supports the daily operations of a vibrant and active parish, providing a welcoming presence to all who enter.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist parishioners, ministry leaders, and visitors in person, by phone, and via email 

  • Process Mass intention requests and stipends 

  • Manage bookstore sales transactions 

  • Receive and process emergency calls for priests 

  • Collect and manage room reservation and event requests 

  • Monitor, stock, and maintain the coffee bar and supply areas 

  • Keep the front desk and coffee area clean and organized 

  • Post event signage and assist with adoration chapel coordination

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Clear and legible handwriting 

  • Excellent communication and listening abilities 

  • Friendly, flexible, and adaptable personality 

  • Sound problem-solving skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive 

  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new software and databases 

  • Positive and supportive attitude toward the Catholic Church, her teachings, and mission 

  • Previous parish office or front desk experience preferred 

  • Practicing Catholic preferred
