Nativity Days is an annual parish festival which is a gift to the parishioners for their active service, steadfast dedication, and love toward the parish and the universal Church. At Nativity Days, we come together to experience prayer, family activities, games, meals, presentations, exhibits, and friendship for an entire weekend.

NATIVITY NIGHT

SEPTEMBER 4, 2025
4:00–7:00 PM

Join us for family-friendly Eucharistic adoration in the church, confession, and community fellowship, with kids’ activities in the gathering area from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Dinner will be offered by the parish in St. Frances Cabrini Hall. Bring your family, friends, and a neighbor.

PIANO MUSIC CONCERT

An evening of piano music program performed by Kuok-Wai Lio, a world-renowned pianist, who will also share the journey of his faith, which was set off by the beauty of music

MUSIC PROGRAM:

The concert is free of charge and open to everyone; however, registration is required. The number of seats is limited. When registering children, please note that attending a performance will challenge them to exhibit maturity and concert manners, and to maintain silence and attention. Babysitting will be provided.

PILGRIMAGE TO MOTHER CABRINI SHRINE

MASS AT THE SHRINE: 10:30 AM

Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, Colorado, is a designated pilgrimage site for the Jubilee Year of Hope, offering the opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence. The 9:30 Mass and confessions at Nativity will be canceled that day. All are welcome to attend the Mass at the Shrine, where we will join together in the crossing of the Holy Door. Registration is required ONLY for the walking portion of the pilgrimage.

WALKING ITINERARY

The 2.5-hour pilgrimage walk, spanning a 3.2-mile route with an approximate elevation gain of 880 feet, will feature the Rosary and prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father.

  • 6:45 am | Gathering at Wooly Mammoth Park-N-Ride, 18560 U.S. Hwy 40, Golden, CO 80401 | Parking is free.

  • 7:00 am | Walk begins.

  • 8:00 am | Stop at 2.6 miles, 15-min rest

  • 8:45 am | Arrive at the base of the stairs leading to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Statue, 15-min rest.

  • 9:00 am | Walking up the stairway of 373 steps leading to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Statue.

  • 9:30 am | Arrival at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Statue, time for pictures, prayer, and reflection in the surroundings of the Shrine.

  • 10:30 am | Mass with all Nativity pilgrims beginning with the crossing of the Holy Door and concluding with the veneration of Mother Cabrini's relic.

  • 11:45 am–12:00 pm | Shuttle transportation for the walkers back to their cars.

For those who don’t walk or don’t walk the whole way:

  • Join for Mass at 10:30 am.

  • Join the walk up the stairs (be there between 8:45 and 9:00 am).

All the walking itinerary times are subject to change.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Comfortable walking/hiking shoes.

  • Comfortable (and weather-appropriate) clothes.

  • Sunscreen.

  • Water and snacks. Food and drinks will not be provided.

  • Rosary.

Participation in the Walking Pilgrimage requires registration. An adult must accompany those under 18. No registration is required for Mass attendance and walking the final part of the pilgrimage (the stairway).

A DAY OF CELEBRATION OF THE JOINT CANONIZATION OF CARLO ACUTIS AND PIER GIORGIO FRASSATI

Pope Leo XIV will canonize Blessed Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati together on September 7, 2025. Our parish will join the entire Church in this special celebration. “They chose Christ,” Carlo’s mom says. Their lives demonstrate that holiness is possible in the modern world.

Each year, Nativity Days could not happen without more than a hundred volunteers who bring it to life. We need volunteers for the following tasks:

    Room and table setup, food serving, and cleaning.

  • NATIVITY NIGHT CHILDREN CRAFT TEAM — Thursday, September 4, 2025
    Adults and teens will help facilitate the craft activities for children during adoration.

    Welcome table & ushering.
