NATIVITY OF OUR LORD YOUNG ADULT RETREAT
Our Father: Recovering the Joy of Spiritual Childhood
Friday, October 30, 6 pm until Sunday, November 1, 12 noon
But to those who did accept Him He gave power to become children of God. (John 1:12)
Have you ever wondered who God actually is? Does He care about your life? Is He interested in getting to know you? Would you like to get to know who God truly is?
Over two thousand years ago, God the Father sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to reveal that God is a communion of love between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father’s plan for humanity, all men and women of all times and places, is to participate in and share this love as beloved children of God.
Every day we are pummeled with distractions, lies, images, and messages that obscure our true identity and rob us of the joy of being beloved children of the Father.
We would like to invite you to spend the weekend together to learn how to cultivate the memory of the Father’s love for you, and to recover the joy of belonging to Him.
We will do this through Mass, Adoration, shared meals, hiking, games, and prayer and reflections.
LOCATION: El Tesoro de los Angeles Retreat Center, 232 Blossom Road, Woodland Park, CO 80863
COST: $75

Suffering: A Mystery to be Lived
The poor one cried out and the LORD heard, and from all his distress he saved him. (Psalm 34:7)
We must no longer be children, tossed and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people’s trickery, by their craftiness and deceitful scheming. But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ (Ephesians 4:14–15).
