Caring for the Small Altar Linens
The Altar Linen Ministry (also known as the Sacristy Laundry Ministry) involves the reverent cleaning of the linens used during Mass. Volunteers pick up soiled linens from the parish, carefully wash and iron them at home, and return them for future liturgies. Because these cloths come in contact with the Precious Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, there are specific instructions on how to respectfully and carefully launder them.
Please reach out if you are interested in helping with this simple yet deeply meaningful service that supports our liturgies.
