Women’s Guild Meeting

The May 14, 2012 Guild Meeting will be a Salad Supper at 6:30 P.M., in Weibel II Hall followed by a brief meeting. We assume all committee chairpersons will continue in their current positions if they have not called to resign.  All ladies of the parish are welcome and encouraged to attend. Hey! It’s TOTUS TUUS time! (June 10-15, 2012)

We would like to invite everyone to come to daily Mass at 11:15 am with the kids throughout the week and to the TOTUS TUUS potluck on Wednesday.

What we need: 1 or 2 host home(s) for the men’s  team, 4 college students
•    Lunch food for the college team lunches throughout the week
•    You to encourage all the youth in 1st – 12th grades to participate

Baby Shower for Real Choices Pregnancy Care Center!

It’s time for our annual Baby Shower for the Real Choices Pregnancy Care Center! This year’s Baby Shower will be from May 13th through June 17th(Mother’s Day through Father’s Day).  Please see the flyers in the gathering area for donation suggestions. Please leave your donations in the crib in the Gathering area.

Communion Service and Living Rosary In Honor of Mary’s Special Month

Nativity of Our Lord Council 10961 of the Knights of Columbus invite all parishioners to a Communion Service and Living Rosary on Thursday evening May 17th. The Communion Service will be at 7:00 P.M. in the Church and the Living Rosary will follow at 7:30 P.M. in Kathy’s Garden outside near the parking lot exit. Please join us in honoring Our Lord and His Blessed Mother during her special month.

 

Adult Catechesis with Fr. Michael

Whether you need to be confirmed or you simply wish to understand more of the Catholic faith, you are invited to attend Fr. Michael’s six-week catechetical course. Classes will be held each Wednesday at 7:00pm in Weibel I from May 9 through June 13. All adults are welcome and there is no cost to attend.

Celebrate Deacon Diego’s Priestly Ordination!

Please join Fr. Michael and Ilene DuBey for this blessed occasion.  Highlights of this trip will include 2 days in Mexico City where we will tour the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On July 12th we will fly to Coatzacoalcos (Deacon Diego’s hometown) where we will enjoy Fr. Diego’s first Mass and a celebration in his honor.  On July 15th we will start our tours of the region, which will include Palenque, Yaxchilan and Bonampak, Waterfall De Misol and Agua Azul (a tropical forest) and San Cristobal, a colonial town.  Included in the cost of the trip is all airfare, 9 nights’ hotel accommodations, breakfast each day, 1 lunch, 1 celebration/party, ground transportation, tips, tour admissions, boat tours and an English-speaking tour guide.  The cost for this trip is $1800/person.  If you would like to attend or have any questions, please contact Ilene DuBey at i.dubey@nool.us.

Bronco Raffle Tickets

Nativity School is selling raffle tickets to support the athletic program.  Grand prize is four season tickets to all 2012 Bronco regular season home games.  Tickets are $10.00 a piece. Tickets may be purchased from Nativity athletes, their parents, by contacting Mrs. Wilma Fuller via Fast Direct or cell phone (text) at (303) 818-0237, or the athletic director at (303) 466-4177, extension 128. The raffle drawing will be conducted on May 21st.  Winners do not need to be present to win.  You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a ticket.

My Life with the Saints

Come join us for reflection on the life of Thomas Merton this Monday, May 14th (based on My Life with the Saints, Fr. James Martin’s book, Merrilyn has copies).  Our presentation and discussion Monday is in Weibel Hall. The morning session begins after 7:30 Mass and the repeat session, in the evening begins at 7:00 pm.  Open to everyone, bring a friend!
