My name is Deacon Steve Vallero and I have been assigned at Nativity since 2012.
I was ordained to the permanent diaconate on June 10, 2000 for the Archdiocese of Denver. Since 2003, in addition to my parish assignment, I coordinate the Catholic Jail/Prison Ministry program within northern Colorado for the Archdiocese of Denver.
I have a BA in Communications from Regis University, and will have completed an MA Theology in May 2019. I am a salesman by trade, currently working for a very large manufacturer of abrasives (grinding wheels and sandpaper).
My wife Michelle and I have been married for 40 years, and have five grown and married children and seven grandchildren. In my spare time (hahaha) I love spending time with our grand kids, and cooking is my favorite hobby. I love to serve God's People as a deacon by sharing the faith that Jesus Christ instituted. One of my favorite Bible verses is James 4:8, which reads, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
